3.3a Consider the Ethics of News Reporting

What does the role of censorship play in the news? Censorship is a huge way of filtering, changing view points, or even controlling the news.
The government is the best example for this topic, in the United States they never will show their soldiers who have died being brought home. Even other country's like China and Iraq, they are cutting off the freedom to know what happening in their country and even around the world. I believe that if the people don't see the wrong of what they do how can they learn and fix it and make sure it does not carry on to the next generation. If someone was accused the public should know the whole story but it should never be one sided. In the code of ethics it even says we have to like:

  •  Give voice to the voiceless; official and unofficial sources of information can be equally valid.
  • Identify sources whenever feasible. The public is entitled to as much information as possible on sources' reliability.
