1.4 Global Cuture and Sterotypes

Our many nations have many different cultures and ways that always have different meanings to other people. For example the word "fag" in Canadian English is meant usually as a offensive term meaning used as a disparaging term for a homosexual man, and in British English the word means a student at a British public school who is required to perform menial tasks for a student in a higher class.
Other media gets posted on the web in places like "Youtube" and their meaning will look different to someone in a different country, province, or state. Another example for this is a "KFC" commercial looks like a white man is calming down a bunch of rowdy black people with a bucket of chicken. The true meaning to the commercial is that the white man is at cricket match and he just pulled out the bucket of chicken to stop them from cheering for the team he is against. We all just need to look at it from that cultures perspective instead of freaking out right away and calling it racist or sexist. This is also a idea that shows that countires should be more open to learning not just about their own but around the world!
